History: Born of typical middle class FREE CITIZENS in West Freeport. Father served in the Militia with no particular distinction along with Tadius' father, both of whom did well in indoctrinating Salvius to the glory of the Overlord, savior of the free peoples. His youth was spent listening to "war" stories told by his and his friend's father about the revolution of the Free People. Essentially, he was raised to a middle class family along with his friend Tadius, who was born on the same day.
Salvius also considers his own parents and Salvius' parent's completely interchangeable, as many days and nights were spent at each other's houses. When he came of age, he joined the Militia and the Dismal Rage alongside Tadius, following the Dismal Rage faction of the Drund, honoring war. He joined the Knights of Freeport on his 18th birthday, and after performing many services for the Freeport Militia along with his friend, was awarded the "Mercenary" title by the militia house. On his 19th birthday, his parents splurged and purchased a Parade Horse, so that he could begin calvary training to further serve the Overlord. His whole life has been shaped by two factors, one being his ever present friend Tadius, and the second being constant and incessant indoctrination towards Freeport Service.

He's like a twin in most respects even if we did have different parents, though I'm secretly proud to be born 2 hours before him! To be honest, I don't recall a single day when we were not together, and surprisingly, instead of making us bitter and tired of each other's company, we have a very close bond. Don't get me wrong, we compete in most everything, whether it be who killed more orcs in a single day or who was able to drink more, but he can hold his own against me.
To quote the great Freeport philosopher Seneca: Consult your friend on all things, especially on those which respect yourself. His counsel may then be useful where your own self-love might impair your judgment.

Marcus, yes the white to Tadius's black. He seems a little shy and seems to stay in the shadow of his friend but i would say he is the stronger of the two the quiet ones you always need to watch out for! He is from what i hear a good healer which is never a bad thing the free people always can find a use for people of his work. He is very polite maybe not as disciplined as needs be but he will get it im sure.

Ack! I can't stand neither him or his friend. They have big mouths, although Salvius is the worst of the two and seem to delight in insulting and making others feel as uncomfortable or angry as possible. One day Salvius will mouth off at the wrong person and get in serious trouble.
Salvius
An' th' other one, th' quiet one. I'unno, but he's right creepy. Jus' sittin' there, takin' cues from his buddy, and lookin' at ya'. Jus' lookin'. Ain't got his name either, but so long as this'uns at the others side, they'll likely be somethin' like a wall, jus' gotta go at it all at once, forget everything else.

His knowledge is thrillingly profound on certain subjects, and embarrassingly shallow on others. There is a vulnerability about him that could either be very useful, or very tedious. His attachment to Tadius is the centerpiece of his life, and everything that he does, says, or even percieves is shaded by that bond. I think he might be the easier of the two to control, but at the same time, I think I would grow bored of him, unless there are depths to him I have not yet plumbed. I do enjoy how readily he blushes, however, and I think that sharing a bed with him might even be mildly entertaining on occasion. It certainly bears further thought.
If there was a better way to go then it would find me... I can't help it; the road just rolls out behind me. Be kind to me, or treat me mean... I'll make the most of it; I'm an extraordinary machine. ((Played by Mishell - More about Caryl))
Salvius
Unsubtle, poor manners, and not very bright. On the other hand he seems rather loyal to Freeport and the Overlord. His embrace of the military bearing is all well and good, but lacking polish. He could never be a knight, but he might at least be good fodder for the temple. If someone teaches the fool to use his weapon correctly... using the spike on a mace to try and pierce things... really, who trains these new recruits to the Overlord's service these days?

<Confiding to another within the deep halls of the Temple of War, again> Sire, I don't understand, why in the Overlords name would he ask me such a question? I am -teir-, he is -not-. Now normally such things are inconsequential to me, but I was under the impression from Caryl they were looking for another human woman.
Child, are you consulting me on the manners of relations?
No, it's not -like- that, but he asked if I was 'barren', and that means, capable to bear children, does it not? The way he worded everything sounded like he was sizing me up to be his.
Men can be desperate in the presence of beautiful women.
I am neither beautiful, nor an object to be fascinated with! He must be pretty desperate, and pretty foolish.
You are beautiful in your own right, even if you do not think so.
I may not be Innoruuk's divine follower, but I understand the negative effects of such things, I wouldn't be chaste if I believed such a thing was fruitful to my life!
Calm, Child. You're taking this far too seriously. <The young teir'dal sighs deeply, regretting her outburst almost instantly> I shall leave now, I still have that errand to run for you, Sire.
As you wish, child.

*A bright smile, and the smooth grace of a woman trained to be a courtier since birth.*
Ah, my beloved! Dear Salvius is destined for great things, I'm sure, and I am truly fortunate to join my star to his. He will father strong children, loyal Free Citizens to serve the Overlord. Of course, the raising of these children will largely fall to myself and to Caryl, while he and Tadius focus on their responsibilities in the Militia and the Dismal Rage.
He is, perhaps a little shy - eager for approval and sensitive to censure, but this only shows how highly he regards others in the Overlord's service, and how deeply he wishes to become the best man he possibly can. Tadius helps to bring out the strength in him - Salvius' strength, after all, is not that of the leader, but of the supporter. It is so easy to overlook the importance of that role, to forget that without wise advisors even the Overlord's power might one day become eroded. It is a role I am sure he will grow to fill, in the fullness of time. In the absence of his companion he is quieter; more thoughtful and reflective. Though I am aware that he does not love me, he has shown himself to be understanding of my needs, and I am certain that he shall be a generous husband, whose affection will only grow with time.
Salvius
A typical warrior at first glance..brusque and direct, with a "just kill them" mentality...but I think, with patience, he could actually be made to realize compassion and what it is. Although that would probably ruin the life he now enjoys. It will be interesting to see if it ever happens...
Salvius
Can't remember 'es name. Think he told me, something with a big fancy title that yer supposed to use..Hah! Skittish though. N' pink. He pinked all up once, or twice. He's a military man, but I think he's all armor, no bite there. Else he doesn't know how to talk to women.. Could be both. Don't know him well enough. Know what he likes t' drink though, an' that's the first step, fer me.
Salvius
Cocky, rude, and overly aggressive. Nothing more can be said about him, at all.
Salvius
Fights good, and can heal himself too. Only problem is that he rushes into things without bothering to see if he can actually deal with them. Ah well, probably about time a fae taught him a lesson, though I doubt it's one he'll take to heart. But as long as he doesn't go around troubling my friends any more, guess I won't find out.
Salvius
He is proud, overbearing and acts (and speaks) before thinking. It'll get him into trouble one day. More than it did with him and all of us girls this past night anyways. The man could use a bit more tact and it wouldn't kill him to become slightly more open minded. Other than that I think he's alright.
Salvius
Ah, I think my friend Salvius' odd moods are finally over with. I couldn't tell him directly, but his recent boorish manner has been a thorn at my side. I think, however, after our talk yesterday, he'll come back to his old self. Still, there are some things I wish I could help him with, but know that he must deal with them in his own way and his own time. A friend can only do so much before turning a friendship sour.

The Koada'Dal sits, quill feather playing across her lips as she thinks on the subject before turning to write.
A Knight of Freeport. A boyishly attractive human. I would truly be interested in teaching him an his ... hmm ... friend, lover, partner? ... the fun it is to be with a .. refugee.
She chuckles to herself before writing more.
Past that ... mayhaps he is a competent healer. I only see a blustering, xenocentric womanizer who tends to lie to himself. That he is a Knight ... is only slightly worrisome to me.
Salvius
Oppressed... Repressed... hmmm what is the best word?
perhaps ... mediocre fits it best. Just another Human living high on the hog because he shares a racial similarity to his "Overlord". Completely absorbed in Lucan's brainwashing and linguistic rewrite of history. I pity any race so easily manipulated. I suppose it is yet another drawback of such a short lifespan.
Every Court needs a jester i suppose
not usually seen without the other Human tadius... much like testicles you rarely if ever see one without the other

My arch enemy, at least at the moment. Salvius is someone that has every personality trait that I despise and absolutely no redeeming factors what-so-ever. He speaks as though Lucan D'Lere owns everything on the face of Norrath - My people included. Norrath will be a better place when it is rid of this person. Perhaps I will have the honor of helping remove such a blight.
Salvius
He could be really useful, if not so busy being used by other people. Ah, well. He's a Knight, and I have to respect them for doing the real dirty work of the Overlord, so I can be free to pursue more scholarly interests and still look like a good citizen! He was pleasant enough to talk to, and I think I made a good impression by being civil to him when so many in the Raven were trying to goad.
Really, it's a sign of weakness in a predator to go after the FIRST sign of blood in the water.
Salvius
What a horrible bastard. I spent five long, long days as a prisoner under his guard and endured some of the WORST treatment of my life! They say the hallmark of a great jailor is to have absolutely no imagination, but he seems aware of it and lets other minions beneath him think up more creative punishments and turns a blind eye to virtually every method they use. So long as the prisoner remains subdued he doesn't care -how- its done. And then theres the totally -unprovoked- violence, where he uses his fists to finish every fight he gets into. And those cold ass silences that freeze up any conversation you try and draw him into.... yes. The perfect jailor indeed.
*Scribbled down as an afterthought* Maybe I'll invite him out for a drink sometime, and we can laugh at the 'good times' back in the cell. At least one of us might find it funny, and I'm curious to know what this guy looks like when he eventually cracks a smile.
Salvius
Cruel, vicious and incredibly rude. I don't think he has any regard or respect for society. He treats his prisoners like garbage and I can't tolerate it.
Salvius
Was able to observe this one in the distance. He's got something on his mind, that's for sure, and it's probably worth platinum to find out what. On the other hand, if I got noticed, I don't think he's the type to show any mercy whatsoever, and in the end, profit is no good if you're not left alive to spend it.
Salvius
Methinks he doth to protest too much on the subject of his sexuality. He's very much a typical Freeport militiaman deposited on the Raven, and that's going to cause him no end of trouble. My brothers in the Militia are many things, but they are rarely flexible in their thinking, and in this, Salvius is a prime example of the breed. He is rude, crude, and unexamined in his thinking, though I do find that one ill sentence from him will broke hours of insult and anger from his fellow patrons. And, in this, I think he is treated far too harshly.

Daniera paces the chapel of her house. Seething in frustration from having to keep her temper under control.
"He's a moron!" She explodes finally. "Sure he's a tolerably good healer, but he's an idiot!" She sits down on the throne in her chapel and steeples her fingers. "He is rude and rash. He says things to provoke rather than help. He makes comments designed to irritate me."
She looks up and her golden eyes flash with an inner malice. "However..." She concedes. "He does seem to understand the rules of this culture better than I do. Perhaps it would be prudent to observe his mannerisms so that I might mimic them and acquire the power I need." She stands to leave her chapel, leaving her opinions with her Lord, Innoruuk.
"X'as that seems like a good plan of action. Indeed."

((as Suyin))
He is every bit as self-centered and self-absorbed as his friend Tadius. He seems oblivious to some things and far too alert to others. However, someone who can both keep me standing and revive his friend in the course of battle is not someone easily dismissed. He may prove useful to me, and so I will keep him on my good side for the time being. Whether he can keep his mouth shut long enough to remain there is up to him.
