Appearance: Her appearance varies wildly, depending on her mood. The bright copper colored hair is almost the only constant, as she makes extensive use of illusions, changing forms the way others would change clothes. As herself (though rarely) she bears numerous scars along her arms, legs and body. One notable scar runs above her left breast, from shoulder to sternum. Her hands are rough and calloused from long work with both sword and hammer. Despite her age, she appears to be in her prime. She favors simple, plain clothing, eschewing any jewelry or adornments, though she usually wears a number of pouches or packs.

Further, she has learned most of the known languages, and can speak fluently in the most common ones. She has also been trained to move and act without drawing attention, though she has gotten lax in this, being rather open about her use of illusion. Her memory is superb.

    Alignment: Neutral.
    Motivations: Play, adventure, wealth, understanding.
    Disposition: Reserved, even-temepered
    Outlook: Unscrupulous, flexible, agreeable, secretive.

Religion/Philosophy: Polytheist. Her mind is ruled by Zek, her heart by Erollisi. She readily acknowledges the influence of other gods.

Sexuality: Alternately demure and flirtatious. Bisexual.

Positive Personality Traits: Loyal, persistent, practical.
Negative Personality Traits: Untrusting, reclusive, deceptive. Can be bloodthirsty, readily willing to kill any she percieves to be an enemy or threat.
Misc. Quirks: Believes she is cursed with a modified form of lycanthropy, so she feels an affinity for werewolves. This is actually a possession, the spirit of a gnome forced upon her by a necromancer when she was young. The spirit itself is rather harmless, and the two have been together long enough that their personalities have merged. Her use of illusion is to mask the transformation that can occur. At times she can hear Zek singing his warsong, and she will hum along. This makes her easily irratable if interrupted by other music. She is mostly illiterate due to dyslexia, relying instead on sketches or drawings when she writes. For correspondence, she has hired a secretary to handle routine matters.

    History:
Pella was born and raised on a small farm in the Karanas, being taught the virtues of hard work and dedication. Her family were devout followers of Karana. Pella was a typical Halasian lass, rowdy and fun-loving. After an impromptu game of gnome-punting with her brothers, she was cursed by the irate and unwilling participant. Horrified by the changes she was experiencing, she fled her home, eventually making her way to Qeynos.

She had joined the Qeynos Guard, starting her formal training, when the Rending began. Not having fully dealt with her gnome-self, and distracted by the sudden and disturbing movements of the ground, she quickly ran into trouble. Her attendance to required duties was haphazard at best, and to her commanding officers she appeared careless and inattentive. The problems culminated in the explosion of a distillery the gnome had been building in her inn room. Escaping the wreckage, she leaves the city that same night, daring to travel across the ruins of the Karanas, the violent earthquakes and upheavals still a common event.

She spends the next half century wandering Norrath, a solitary nomad, as she comes to terms with her condition. As the cataclysms of the Rending come to end, she finds herself in the forests of Nektulos, where she joins a group of mercenaries. She uses her size and strength to great advantage, quickly gaining their acceptance. Upon learning of her curse, they train her in the ways of stealth, deception, and espionage. Under their care and guidance, she becomes a skilled and highly paid shadow agent, taking jobs for both Qeynos and Freeport. One mission, involving intercepting a Qeynosian merchantman, ends poorly. A great storm causes their ship to founder, and sink.

The island she washes ashore upon is fortunately fairly large. There is fresh water, and game, and an abundance of minerals. She spends the better part of a century here, building a comfortable home, and teaching herself the arts of mining and blacksmithing. She witnesses the explosion of Luclin while here, but can only wonder about it. An exploratory ship of the Farseas Trading Company eventually finds her isle, and she sells her mining operations to them, in exchange for some coin and passage to Qeynos.

She returns to Qeynos, to find a plague afflicting the city. She uses her funds to set up a small smithy, and establishes herself as one of the merchant class. Her business draws the attention of the Ironforge Exchange, and she is recruited into their ranks. Finding their mindset to be similar to hers, she flourishes, rising to the rank of Factor, and becoming one of the advisors to Devona Ironforge while she attends to Court. Her previous history in Qeynos is pardoned. She was vocal about opening trade with Freeport, adding to the movement that led to the current brokerage system. She is currently on an extended leave of absence from the Exchange, having removed her citizenship from the city. Still, she maintains her armor business, employing a number of people all across Norrath.

In more recent years, she has taken to spending more and more time on unspecified journeys. Those few she allows close to herself can notice a growing darkness about her mood and behavior. Her business is starting to show the signs of her neglect, with various foundries and shops declining in prominance, or even outright closing. She ignores the questions or advice of her friends and employees.

A friend, of a kind. I like her, she likes me... we get along well enough, and I seem able to sniff her out even when she is shape changed. I don't know her true form, and I suspect I never will. She doesn't say much, and mostly keeps to herself, and yet I find I'm quite fond of her anyway, even if I can't quite put my finger on why.

I suspect she has much to offer to those who are her closest friends, though.

I have seen her around time to time, We've talked briefly, or more of, I've talked briefly with ramblings. She seems as if she could be a nice friend if I get to know her, Perhaps I will try talk to her more if I see her around.

Since coming to Qeynos, Pella has become of my dearest friends. I first met her during one of my Kerra Night festivities. A beautiful white with many, black stripes. She carried herself with the confidence that the matriarchy appreciates. Pella surprised us over the months, as it was revealed to us that she is not Kerra at all. Under extreme circumstance, we Kerra might have hunted her down for such a deception. We chose to not do this. Because her goal was an honest one. To learn and be Kerra. If only in the short term.

Over the years I have known Pella to make use of many illusions. Never knowing her true form. The Kerra being my favorite, of course. Then one night, I was entrusted with her secret. You could have knocked me over with a feather, I was so surprised. And now I appreciate the necessity for her many forms.

These days, I see Pella as the skilled Armorer that she is. I have watched her sit for hours, sketching out her ideas. She seems obsessed with the form of others. I suspect she uses these sketches to create suits of armor to fit the variety of forms she observes.

Fang stands in the Raven's training room, hacking away at a dummy with a claymore.

"Pella? You mean the woman who always seems to be in a different form when she shows up here?"

Fyrefang's blade slows, and he slashes at a more steady, refined pace.

"One of those interesting people that I don't know much about. She makes good conversation, and she's friendly enough. I wonder just WHAT she is, though..."

Sheathing his blade after he shreds the last of the dummy, he sighs and leans against the wall.

"She has this notepad that she's always drawing stuff on too... Another thing that I wonder about her."

Walking off after awhile, he adds over his shoulder,

"But then, I wonder alot of things about her."
