Current Profession: Lyrah used to be a Ranger of Karana. She is now a Monk of the Silent Fist. Her tracking skills still get her hired out to find lost family members or friends, on occasion. They also come in handy when she needs to hunt for food. She has also been a guard for several homes, a palace, a cave, and even a mausoleum. The majority of her time has been spent searching for the Elf that made her what she is. She also spends a good deal of time relaxing in the Raven Mythic and hunting in the wilds Antonica and Nektulos Forest.
History: Lyrah Sylvain is the younger of the two daughters of two bards, Viric and Lyrah Sylvain. She and her sister, Tahlulah, became orphans when Viric and Lyrah (the mother) died in a fire that Lyrah (the daughter) accidentally caused. Lyrah was approximately four years old, and Tahlulah was seven. Tahlulah was sent to live with a noble family in Qeynos. The family, unfortunately, could only take one child, and since Tahlulah was older and able to do more work, she was placed first. Lyrah was sent to live with several other orphans in Surefall Glade. She made friends quickly there and studied the path of the Ranger. The two sisters became estranged.
When Lyrah was barely 20 years of age she answered a notice looking for a farm hand in the Karanas. The man hired her and said that he would pay her every seven days. She would clean the stables, feed the animals, tend the fields, and live on the farm, deterring any thieves or trespassers. On the fourth day of her employment while working in the fields she became deathly ill, and the man revealed to her, as she lay dying on the cot in the farmhouse, that he was actually an Elf looking for a subject for his next experiment. He explained that he had to create an elaborate trap because of his close links in Qeynos and his need of someone without friends or family that would notice her missing. He also needed someone honest and pure, a levelheaded thinker. Someone he could control. She wasnt sure what he was talking about at the time and wanted to ask him more but was unable due to her illness. From that point on, her memory became clouded.
For three days the Elf did rituals and ceremonies, cutting off body parts at the joints, enchanting them, imbuing them, then sewing the body parts back on. He analyzed her organs, bones, tendons, and muscles, arranging them then rearranging them. The only thing he did not cut into was her face. He would attempt to resuscitate her, revive her, though this was short lived. She would wake up then would quickly revert back to her previous state. Near the end of her seventh day of her unfortunate employment, he cast another spell, spoke another chant, and left for reasons unknown to Lyrah. When she woke, she found herself cold and naked in the farmhouse. Her joints and limbs were held together with thick black, waxy thread, and she felt a burning unlike anything she had ever felt before.
She has never spoken of this event. She does have her suspicions as to what he was trying to do.
After the incident, she has had a difficult time wandering close to cities. She made a well-hidden cabin in Kithicor her home for a time, though was taken in by a Teirdal vampire named Nauria not long after. She has tracked loved ones, hunted enemies, scavenged treasures, and even took in a small child for a time. She remembers the Shattering vividly, and this is also something she prefers not to talk about. Most recently, she has made a hidden cave home in Antonica where she spends part of her time while she is on a hunt. She ventures to Elddar Grove on occasion to see her master there at the Silent Fist. The rest of her time is usually spent at the Raven Mythic enjoying the company of friends or at the Harvest Reborn guild house.

Well, first things first--she's dead. We can't have much in common. That said, she's easily the most interesting animated corpse I've ever seen.

I am fascinated by this girl. She is like a doll and a friend all at once. I would like to help her fit her skin.

Lyrah
Lyrah used to be one of Nauria's old guard captains. Nauria being my old guildmistress. Nauria, a vampire five hundred years ago, had made it a personal goal in life to restore Lyrah, turn her from something approaching a zombie, and into a vampire. While not a crashing failure, she did fail. Lyrah is somewhat more whole than she was, but she is still a stitched together undead being. Properly fed, Lyrah can more or less pass for normal.
But she's not normal. If Lyrah weren't a being I cared about, I would put her on a pedestal and show her to Malika as an example of what happens when thoughtless and arrogant spellcasters start playing with magic, start mucking about in the reshaping of bodies, and then abandon their toys to the whims of fate. Lyrah was made, created, and then left to fend for herself. Never fully free of the man who made her what she is, never fully a slave to him.
What is she in the end? Just a woman. A woman who gets up every day and does what she must to survive. A woman looking for friends and company. A woman looking for someone, looking to love, and to be loved. Not a smirking evildoer, not sex starved vixen, a heroic do-gooder, or a black hearted criminal. She is alltogether practical, and in many ways the most normal of people. Things that would have twisted the minds of others, she has resisted, and remains in so many ways a human under all that has changed her.
Sometimes when I parade through the inn, entertaining my patrons, flashing my lust or my sins, I catch Lyrah, and I wonder. I suspect I must look exotic and free and sensual to her. But when I compare my rather charmed magical life to her more normal, earthy one... sometimes I feel like I have cheapened myself. Lyrah can have that kind of effect on people. And when I see Lyrah, when we talk alone, and I hear her words, see how she is still seeking a love, and companionship, my heart breaks a little to think of it.

She is...... interesting. I am not sure i have ever truelly heard of someone like her. A detailed and painful history. Such things seem almost common these days unfortunately. She is a friend of my sister, and for that i offer my friendship to her willingly. Whether she takes my offer however, if up to her.
Lyrah
This one watches me far to closely! And I believe she thinks I know nothing of it...call her curious if YOU will but I believe there is more to it and may the gods have mercy on her if she dare attempt to mess things up for me, because I sure as hell won't.
Lyrah
Lyrah's very kind, but tormented. I hope she finds a measure of peace in the times ahead.
Lyrah
She smells... inviting.
I would love to get under her skin and take a look around. It would be an educational experiance.

I kind of feel sorry for her, she always seems so much in a far off place.. sad and alone. I have never seen her without a bottle of whiskey in hand.. as if she is trying to drown some sort of sorrow out of mechanical response.. but it never works. my mother told me once you are what you eat and drink... sometimes i have to shake my head when i see her.. to clear the vision of a huge whiskey bottle with a bra.

A very intresting woman. While the experaments and magic that was done on her does intrigue me, something deeper inside her makes me actualy care. For some reason i find myself desiring her friendship over all the mortals i've run acrossed in a thousand years.
She's quiet, very quiet, which often makes it hard for me to judge if she is comfortable with my pressance. I am not very skilled at social interaction and can blunder easily, so i always find myself wondering if i'm causing more pain then warmth.
*Shrugs* She will open up to me in her own time, if she wishes.

Lyrah has become a fast friend. So much so, she has a place in My family's house. I would even welcome her into my family, if she would come. She has a special place in my beloved's heart, and I respect that.
My heart aches for her. Bad things happen to people all the time. It's a fact of life. Another fact is that usually, that person has done something to bring it on their own head. They have earned their misfortune. Not Lyrah. Fate has dealt her a cruel hand, and she is playing it to her best. Sometimes it seems as the deck is stacked against her.
I will tell you this, I will do what I can for my her, even if I have to grab that bitch, Fate, by her throat and tell her to let Lyrah go. No one stands against my friends.

In recent days, my interactions with this woman have increased. She's asked favors of me, and, I've done my best to help her. and, through this, Ive come to know a bit of her. She is real. Absolutely no question. She has had a long time to establish her opinions, and she sticks by them. I do not know the details of her past, not fully. I know she is undead, I have seen a few of the scars she bears. But she is good. I think she finds herself ugly, and while outwardly some would say that, I find her beautiful inside. I'll do my best by the tasks shes set me, not because of professional pride, but because I believe her capable of being a very close friend.

Lyrah...
Just saying her name makes me feel warm inside. When I see her, I light up. I can't help it.
Ever since that day I found her laying on the ground and watching the rain fall in Antonica I can't seem to get her out of my mind. In the name of all that can be held sacred in this world, I love her.
I am bound to my wife, I love my wife... but Lyrah... I love her with such an undying passion that it hurts. It hurts because she seems to want what I can't offer.
Lyrah wants somebody who can be just for her, a person who loves only Lyrah.
When that person comes along... I love her enough that I will let her go to be happy. Until that day though, I'm going to be crazy for her.
She is a fantastic woman and my best friend in all this world.
Lyrah
This woman.. i have tried to befriend her, but i feel how uncomfortable she is arround me. My attempts to talk to her have been mostly unanswered, and i find that as good as my intentions, as pure as my thoughts, she is far to uncomfortable with me. I have watched her open up easily to the mortals arround her, but with me it is different. I belive this has something to do with her past.
As much as i would enjoy her friendship, i bring her only pain, so i will attempt to stay far from her, in this i do my part as her friend to keep her happy.

I don't know what to think about this woman. I sense she is terribly uncomfortable around me, and I have to believe that is because she has been told of my past, and of my betrayals. I know she serves the General, and Kirsirah's opinion of me is certainly naut a secret.
I welcome her company because I know it makes Atrixya, Syae, and Dami happy for her to be there. I just - I wish I knew why she disliked me so.
Lyrah
frowns at himself
Lyrah has quite possibly been a better friend than I honestly deserve. Perhaps that's why I don't care so much what people think when she asks me to mop a floor or take my feet off the table...I'm sure there's a lesson in her ways I just haven't figured them out. And she's too kind to tell it to me, part of the puzzle is learning the lesson without it being handed to you.

Had a brief encounter with this woman and offered her a marker which may help in what ever journey and goal she has. I cannot put the Maral'Cryso in danger, but if she mentions my name and flashes that marker, she may find doors opening that would otherwise be closed. I wish I could do more, I will have to ask Duvessa more about this woman.

Milady Lyrah has been quite kind to me, though I know little about her other than she is close to Duvessa and enjoys her whiskey straight from the bottle. I'm sure I will get to know her more as time goes by.
Lyrah
I see this woman nearly every day that I go to the Raven...which I suppose is every day since I moved away home. She...she seems to stare a lot at people. I don't know if she's lost in thought, or if she's, I dunno. I've not quite figured her out and not sure I ever will.
