Want to listen to Radio Free Norrath easily? Want to navigate to all of your favorite EQ2 sites, have a pop-up blocker, have built in Google, Wikipedia, image, and other searches, 100% spam/addware/spyware free? For both Internet Explorer and Firefox.



At first, the Toolbar was designed to be an aid for people playing in the Raven Mythic, and listeners of Radio Free Norrath, but it's become too popular, and too useful, to just be for something so limited. So, out went the Raven Mythic logo, and in came something more generic. We have links to various community and guild web sites, and anything else useful that could be thought of.If you want your guild added to the toolbar, or you have another suggested link, by all means, let me know.

The users of the toolbar automatically get updates to it each time they open a browser window.It's essentially a Google toolbar, customized for EQ2 players, and Google is a partner in the company that provides the software for the toolbar.As always, if you have anything you think should be added here, be it your guild, a web comic, a favorite artist, whataver, by all means, feel free to let me know.

oh and yes, ezboard lost all the messages from my old coven site, which is depressing as lot of that stuff was 2 years old

*bump* Made a ton of new changes today, see the update notes. These changes will be reflected on existing users the next time they log in, reboot, or refresh the toolbar window (from the drop down menu just to the right of the Antonia logo).

1/23/07 Update Notes:

It's been a while since I've needed to do a major update of the toolbar, and while I wasn't looking, it's gone up to nearly 300 users. I'm glad this is working for people.

* Major change made to the search system. The default search works, BUT... it gets filtered through the toolbar product's default engine, which takes a Google search, and pushes it's own text into it. I found this slow and annoying. You'll find a new Google search at the top of the drop down list of searches.

* Since oGaming got borgified by Allakhazam's, I've removed the oGaming quest search, and added in one for Allakhazam.

* Added an additional search for GamePressure

* Removed a few defunct links to dead sites.

* Removed a few dead guilds.

* Fixed Mystic Alliance to their new URL

* Added True North

* Searches - Just fill our the search box in the toolbar, and then select from the drop down menu. The EQ searches are in there with Wiki, Image, and other useful search engines.

Unlike some toolbars, we don't filter or massage the data, or stick in an advertisement. You'll get exactly the same results as if you had gone directly to those sites.

I'm thinking that it may be time to hit the LDL server forums, and get some help from people there, and make this the "EQ2 Roleplayers Toolbar", with links for both RP servers, and help for the general comminity.Also, a big reminder... the toolbar has multiple search features I can customize, but the one thing I cannot change is the default search. This routes a Google search through Conduit's engine, and I find it slow, and cumbersome. Keep in mind that there's a Google search in the search options on the toolbar, and once you set a search engine, it will remain that way for the rest of your session. If there's ever a way around this, trust me, we'll set Google as the default. I just downloaded and installed Firefox 3 on my laptop. First order of business was installing the AB Toolbar. Works like a dream.

Added note: Works awesome on Ubuntu as well.

08/27/08 - Update Notes:

It's been more than three months since my last update, and it's time for some changes and new functionality. But first off, a big thanks to everyone who has been supporting the toolbar. We're getting close to 1,000 installed copies. Granted, that includes re-installs, and people with multiple computers, but I'm looking forward to hitting the 1K mark!

Events Listing:

My biggest single change for this update was to add an RSS syndicator into the Raven Mythic, and then cross-link it to the toolbar, to form a kind of alerts system to let people know when a new event was posted. At this point, I can't syndicate events information from our friends at the Town Square forums, but I'm working on it.
