Iahild Adristion (DECEASED)

Post by Adristion » 03/22/15

Full Name: Iahild Jast Adristion
Nicknames: Iah, tin can, clockwork boy, Adristion, Adrist

Biographical:
  • Level: 100/Some random level
Class: Paladin ( On the path of redemption, therefore OOC for now)/Guardian
RP Power: He is a former mechanamagica (magic/technology combination) Koada'Dal, so he does retain the fighting style that he used during that time period, but he also is a master of many forms of armed combat.
    Race: Koada'Dal
    Gender: Male
Date of Birth: Norrath's equivalent of January 31st
    Age: 224
    Hair: Bleach Blonde
    Skin: Fair
    Eyes: Silver
    Height: 5'11
Weight: 110lbs no armor, 165lbs with his armor
Place of Residence: Freeport and Gorowyn and possibly Qeynos under a different name, although this has yet to be confirmed
Place of Birth: Qeynos Capitol District

Relatives: Father: Deceased, Mother: Deceased, Jainaris Adristion (younger twin brother): Alive, Aelyia Adristion: Deceased, killed by Iahild's best friend, Drovan Atrocitus
Enemies: Paladins and Qeynos (not just the city, but those INSIDE the city aswell)
    Allies: The Hellions

Occupation: Vanguard of the Hellions, Guard for The Palace, Infantry
    Crafting: Alchemist (OOC)

Appearance: Rarely seen out of his armor
Fashion of Choice: He doesn't like to wear anything other than his armor
Armor of Choice: Platemail, typically something that a guard or paladin would wear (made to fit his specific needs)
Weapons of Choice: He is a Weapons Master, as he was trained to use all weapons as a Paladin (he is currently training to use bows), but he prefers two-handed weapons

Special Abilities: His ability to take heavy amounts of damage and still be standing when it should render most people unconscious (he has lost two limbs before but was still standing (as in conscious, not literally standing), this was due to his will to keep fighting and defend the others, of course he was still standing for only 1 minute and 30 seconds). Basically he has supernatural, inhuman endurance, as well as a inhumanly high pain threshold.
Personality:
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral although slowly gravitating towards the Good spectrum
Motivations: None that I can think of
Disposition: Even-tempered, I really can't think of anything else other then that
    Outlook:

"Because you should know that once I fall, all those rules which protect you from me are gone. No longer will I be able to be stopped by you, or by my order, or by my God. If I give everything, and I mean give everything, I will never stop. If you escape me today, I will hunt you down and grab you into the pits of hell myself. Even if that means that I have to invoke the wrath of every demon in creation, just so they throw open a pit and drag me down where I stand, because when they do drag me down, I will make sure that my fists are wrapped firmly around your ankles and you go down with me. I want you to listen to me now, and I mean really listen, because Hell truly hath no fury like a paladin scorned." - Sir Peter Fairgrave (from the Powder Keg of Justice D&D game)

Religion/Philosophy: Formerly Mithaniel Marr (when he was a Paladin), now The Tribunal, although that isn't known

    Sexuality: Straight
Positive Personality Traits: He is showing some paladin-y (ex. compassion, empathy, kindness, etc etc) but also shadowknight-y (ex. hatefulness, apathy, bringing harm to others etc etc) traits
Negative Personality Traits: Hard to get along with, quiet (but not because he's shy or socially awkward), in general, he's a negative person
Misc. Quirks: Tends to be quiet unless around people he likes, will also scratch his jaw when thinking
Affiliations:
  • Guild: The Hellions
Guild Rank: Kept Private to all save The Hellions
Faction: Mostly dubious to the Spectre Cartel (AKA Silverfang Shipping)
    Faction: Allies with The Hellions
Interests:
  • Likes: Fighting, weapons, armor, holy and unholy magic
Dislikes: Drinking (but he does so anyway), eating, most women

    Favorite Foods: None
Favorite Drinks: Anything Dwarvish, Halfling, or Teir'Dal (Dark Elven if you want)

Hobbies: Getting in near death situations, high chances of death missions

History: Born to a long line of holy and divine warriors and healers, Iahild's life was already set out for him. Being the eldest out of three (born before his twin brother), he was expected to be a paladin, where as his brother was to be a cleric, and his sister a troubadour. Iahild and his siblings did indeed go down the paths laid out for them with Iahild training under his father and his brother, Jainaris, under his mother. All three grew up together happily and on the day Iahild was knighted, his parents had been butchered by orcs. Saddened by this, Jainaris and Iahild fought over who was to take care of them now, resulting in Jainaris' permanent blindness and running away into he wilderness where he became a Beastlord and where he lost his legs. Iahild was left to take care of his sister and made an oath to become the best paladin possible and uphold all of his vows and stay true to the paladin virtues. And that he did. He rose through the ranks quickly, as did his ancestors, and soon was at the top. From there, it only got better for him. He got engaged to a wonderful Koada'Dal woman. It was on the night that they married when he found her bedding a highly wanted criminal in his own room and clearly enjoying it. Enraged, Iahild left and ordered men to go after them only to find they escaped into the night. It took him only a year or so to locate the criminal, and when he did, he led a regiment of men to the criminal's stronghold. He fought through and at last found he criminal and his wife. Saddened and enraged he charged straight for the criminal, only to find out that his regiment of men had betrayed him and backstabbed him. The previously killed men rose from the dead, and Iahild found himself facing hundreds of men, undead or not alone. Seeing no hope, Iahild prayed to Mithaniel Marr one last time before carving his way back out, the criminal behind him with a large axe. Iahild fought his way down to the entrance and by then it was him and the criminal. It took him everything he knew and could use to kill him, or so he thought (later on he almost died fighting him again). Saddened, exhausted, and betrayed, he killed his wife and left her body there. He returned alone, bloodied, and with a cry of despair and rage, slaughtered the men he trained and worked with. It was here that he abandoned paladinhood and Mithaniel Marr and fled the city, turning to Freeport. He was accepted there and tried to learn the Shadowknight arts but could not. He lost faith in the gods. In people. He became cold and almost dead. He didn't want to live anymore. But he went through life the only way he knew how. Fighting. He lost contact with his sister and eventually found his way to The Spectre Cartel (Silverfang Shipping). And it is here that our story starts (AKA the start of Iahild in EQ2).

He's next. No. I am not going to explain what that means. Only that I know him well enough to know what I am talking about. He's both useful and a waste of air, one of these days he's going to stop being one of those things and I am sure I will be there when he does.

**sits by the fountain in her garden as she looks through the story book door to the scribe standing at the front door to her home**

"Can I help you?"

**the scribe casually walked forward, Piorrot arched her brow curiously at the scribe's shuffling of parchments**

"Iahild ... hmmm yes I suppose I saved his life .. I don't like losing patients .. I have only had to kill one person on my table, but I brought her back to life with the help of another healer."

**cross her ankles as she look up at the scribe with her head tilted to the side slightly**

"So is there anything else?"

**the scribe shuffled the parchments once more and then asked one more question**

"My Dear Scribe .. you know that is doctor patient secrets"

*Piorrot's eye glinted green as she gazed at the scribe, the scribe quickly turned away and walked back to the door ... almost zombie like**

((Updated once again to reflect more changes. Also I would like to note that the second thing (ex. number or class) will be Kyzo. The only exception to that would be class, because ICly Iahild/Kyzo is a mix of the Shadowknight with Guardian. Although its more of the aspect/idea of the Guardian that he is a mix of.))

*while on a ship at sea is approached by a robed figure, she only watches him the looks over her shoulder hiding her mark from any on lookers she begins to stand to find another corner to hide in mumbling to herself "must keep moving .. "must keep moving"" turns around when hearing the word.. narrowing her eyes to the robed figure she turns around again and hurries to another spot to hide. Finding what she seeks she keeps her back to the boards and watches the pirates work thankful for letting her on..

She watches the robe figure approach her again...watching him kneel "what... wait how do you know him .. why are you asking me this question... * she looks around then quiets her voice* ..Yes.. I ..do why do you ask... what can I tell you about him?... well let me think..

*relaxes a little but still tense* ... Iahild... I don't know him to well I have just joined the company we belong to a while back before this mess happened..

*pauses in thought* "well he seems to be a bit brash some what stubborn.. but one good Guard, he is what a priestess like myself would call a good find.

Waits for next question"I'm sorry?...um not a subject I will discuss with a stranger if you will excuse me I must go see to my duties on the ship"

*The tall, statuesque bronze man sat in a chair, a languid air about him as the reporter approached. His eyes flickered upon seeing the fellow, and seemed to convey that the effeminate fellow had anticipated this arrival.*

"The armored fellow? *He smiles slightly, speaking in a fluid, somewhat seductive tone--not by intention, by gazing at this male, one would know that such is his nature.*
"I...I think I had a brief--but nonetheless meaningful---encounter with him at my adopted sister's Club, where he was helping staff, along with Lady Kinra, and I think a few others. He was a very colorful, outspoken, well-humored individual--and, say what you wish, but I do personally believe..that this...this Norrath, it needs more individuals like him--and I do not believe he is a waste of space, or else he would probably be in a heap somewhere, I suppose. Fate has a funny way of taking care of it's own. After the jaunt at the Palace last eve, I cannot say I dislike him."

*His voice became temporarily, if possible, even more soft, and almost inaudible*

"No...uhm, actually, he's kinda cute.."

*A smile graced his full lips once more, causing the ebon rings to coil as he did--but this was a different smile, and it seemed to speak for itself, silently declaring that the previous statements were, in fact, all that would be revealed at this time.*

She unlatches the door, save a single chain, she peeks through the crack at the scribe.

You again?

The already pale woman goes sheet white as the scribe mentions his name, without an answer she slams the door and latches it.

She motions the scribe forward. He hands her a paper with the name. The room stills. Coldness sweeping around him, the air itself frozen. As he raises his eyes to hers, he notes they are now pitch black. The paper vanishes. Holding his breath he waits.

Her eyes narrow at him. "Well. Not a name many would place before me" She sighs. Her hands flatten on the table. She gives one nod. "Complicated. That is the first thing that comes to mind." She leans back and gives another sigh. "Iahild is much more intelligent than most recognize. He has a tendency to be brash, to rush. He is resilient to pain. He, well when I knew him . was more machine than elf." She smiles. "I wanted to help him at one time........ but that is no longer of my concern" Her eyes raise to the doorway. She stands and motions for a guard. "Escort him out" She nods a final time as the Scribe is. ..dragged away and shoved out the side door.

*Amid the frozen streets and cold stone walkways of New Halas, the fur cloak-clad scribe made his way toward a very distracted-looking Koada'Dal. The elf's gaze snapped in the scribe's direction, looking very confused and probably even more distracted than before. He vas visibly unsure why he was being approached, as the scribe politely ushered the man to to take a seat.*

"Huh? What'd do?!" *He seemed prepared for accusations of any sort to rain down on him, but looks slightly surprised to find that he was being asked normal questions, rather than a scolding.*

"Huh? OH. What do I know about Iah??"
*He shot the scribe a very long, somewhat comical stare*
"Sir, you..ARE..aware that he's my twin brother, right?"

*The scribe looked taken aback for a moment, but then nodded his head in agreement, and the two briefly exchanged quiet stories about their families.*

"So. Yeah. That said. He might be the biggest, silliest, grumpiest overachiever ever, and he's convinced himself that hes no good and also a tin can. But I assure you he's pretty great when he wants to be, and the only real tin can involved right now is actually his brain."

*The two exchanged chuckles before the scribe departed.*

(UPDATE: Iahild is officially deceased. Why? 3 years I've had this man and after all that time, all the character development and stories, he died during the finale of a plot that has been going on since before he was created. As such, I figured as my final post here, I would post an excerpt of his last moments...)

"Wearing his damaged Combine armor and armed with his greatsword in one hand and holy magic in the other, the last the Hellions see is Iahild charging head long into the remains of Fames' army. Over the course of several days, Iahild would be fighting Fames' mechanamagical bot army alone. Eventually, he could no longer stand up on his own. As he leaned heavily on his greatsword, bleeding, starving, dehydrated, and exhausted, his last thoughts would be of his life. Of Mutinay. Drovan. Motoh. Olken. Ildona. Tzanntiel. Ashtorah. And in his last moments before darkness took him... He had fully redeemed himself."
